I use blood meal to deter critters like skunk or feral cats when they start digging in the garden in the middle of the night. It smells like blood and i guess they don't like the smell. Since scheduled deliveries would come from local stores that may be a reasonable way to guess whether any are available in your nearby stores. The most recent batch that I made was 1 part blood meal, 2 parts bone meal, and 3 parts wood ash. The bone meal is a good price per pound but the blood meal price is terrific. At least I sometimes have good luck finding deep discount clearance deals on Jobe's, Dr Earth, Espoma, etc. at the other big box stores. Anywho, I think this is a decent deal for those who can find it, especially in 2022.
